One Fit Mobile Campaign Kicked Off Saturday
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) The One Fit Mobile campaign kicked off Saturday. Personal trainer Cindy Ross along with other health professionals came out to educate residents of the importance of getting healthy.
Residents were able to visit various vendors for cholesterol screenings, blood pressure checks, medication review and consultation with a pharmacist all for free.
The family friendly event was a way to help motivate younger generations to want to stay healthy.
"All you have to do is want it, come out and move, that's all it's about. You know you see these kids they're all about the video games and fast food. If it's quick and easy that's all about and the knowledge is not passed on. It's all about the knowledge and the lack of not knowing what's good for you and what's not good for you," said Ian Miller with Body Balance Fitness Studio.
Local 15s Today anchor Kelly Jones served as the events emcee.
