A Night at the Races

A night of fun, food and music with friends is planned for Thursday, April 3, at the "Night at the Races" derby style party to benefit The Learning Tree.

The event will be held at the Ezell House in Mobile beginning at 6:30 p.m. with heavy hors d'oeuvres, complimentary beverages, music and silent auction. Beginning at 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., guests will place friendly wagers on their favorite ponies and cheer them on during pre-recorded horse racing videos.

Prizes will be awarded to "horse owners" and "winners" of each race.

The Learning Tree serves more than 250 children, ages 2 through 21, from across Alabama, who have autism and other developmental disabilities. The educational and residential programs provide educational instruction and training in a nurturing and supportive environment.

The Learning Tree programs have proven to be highly successful in managing the behavioral, physical and cognitive challenges that interfere with learning.  Programs are located in Mobile, Tallassee, Jacksonville and Auburn.

Tickets may be purchased for $60 per person, with limited seating available. For sponsor information or to reserve tickets please call Paige Norris, Resource Development Assistant at (251) 654-2144.
