Crazy Sista Beach Party Underway, Organizers Talk Tourism
GULF SHORES, Ala. (WPMI) Summer is long gone and the weather has cooled down, but there's lots of fun to be found on the Gulf Coast.
There's a party at Lulu's Beach all weekend long with some high profile headliners that you won't want to miss.
It's the first ever Crazy Sista Beach Party.
Beaches in our area saw a spectacular turnout throughout the spring and summer months.
The Shrimp Festival, SEC Beach Fest and the Hangout Fest all gave visitors and locals the chance to come enjoy the sugar white sands, turquoise water and delicious eats Gulf Shores and Orange Beach have to offer.
"Just to extend that season a little bit longer, give people a reason to come down and enjoy this wonderful weather and have a reason to come to the beach," said George Martin, general manager of the festival.
Organizers hope this new event will keep tourism growing all year long.
Blues singers Marcia Ball and Charmaine Neville will bring some soulful New Orleans sounds.
The Grammy award winning Tedeschi Trucks Band are among the other famous faces to rock out on the two stages this weekend.
There will be many acts in between those, going between the boat stage and the main stage at Lulu's.
VIP tickets are all sold out, but you can purchase them by the day for $35
