Karen is now a Tropical Depression
Tropical Depression Karen is still alive in the North-Central Gulf located 120 miles SSW of Morgan City, Louisiana or 185 miles WSW of the Mouth of the Mississippi River. Maximum suatained winds are now down to 35 miles per hour. All tropical storm watches and warnings have been discontinued.
While T.D. Karen is stationary for now, a turn toward the NE is expected overnight with a turn to the ENE with an increase in forward speed for Sunday. It'll then make a right hand turn and head eastbound on Monday. On this trajectory, the depression will move near or over SE Louisiana on Sunday then head south of the Gulf Coast from Alabama to the Florida Panhandle Sunday night and Monday.
