Pipeline Protesters Head to Montgomery

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Mobile residents are making their voices heard in Montgomery about a controversial pipeline.

Residents filled the 56 seat coach bus Wednesday morning to be at a Public Service Commission meeting with officials from Plains Mobile Incorporated.

The company is seeking a certificate to replace a crude oil pipeline thats been in place for 40 years.

Plains Mobile says the $14.4 million upgrade is necessary to make the pipeline safer for the community, though there has not been any issue with the pipeline to date.
