Lakeland, FL (Sports Network) - Tyler Collins crushed a three-run home run as the Detroit Tigers took down the Philadelphia Phillies, 6-3, in Grapefruit League action on Sunday.
James McCann ripped a solo shot, while Prince Fielder and Don Kelly also knocked in runs for the Tigers. Starter Justin Verlander gave up a pair of runs on seven hits while striking out three in six innings.
Cody Overbeck had a solo home run, while Hunter Pence and Ty Wigginton also drove in runs for Philadelphia. Scott Elarton yielded one run on two hits and four walks in four innings on the mound.
