Sarasota, FL (Sports Network) - The Baltimore Orioles have signed right-handed pitcher Darren O'Day to a two-year deal, avoiding arbitration.

O'Day, 30, pitched in 69 games for the Orioles last season and went 7-1 with a 2.28 earned run average, 69 strikeouts and 14 walks over 67 innings. He also pitched seven scoreless innings in the postseason.

Over 255 games with the Angels (2008), Mets (2009), Rangers (2009-11) and Orioles, O'Day owns a 15-6 career record with a 2.73 ERA and two saves.

O'Day is the 133rd and final player to settle without an arbitration hearing, making it the first time since arbitration began in 1974 that no player who filed went to a hearing.
