Berkeley, CA (Sports Network) - Stepfan Taylor carried the ball 28 times for 189 yards and a touchdown, as the 22nd-ranked Stanford Cardinal bounced back with a 21-3 victory over the California Golden Bears.

Josh Nunes completed 16-of-31 passes for 214 yards, one touchdown and an interception for the Cardinal (5-2, 3-1 Pac-12), who lost last week at Notre Dame, 20-13, in overtime. Kevin Hogan threw a touchdown pass.

Zach Ertz caught six passes for 134 yards and a score for the victors.

Zach Maynard connected on 19-of-31 passes for 214 yards and an interception for the Golden Bears (3-5, 2-3), who had a two-game winning streak snapped.

California had just three yards rushing, compared to 252 for Stanford.
