MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) The high school football season is just a few weeks away.

Eleven teams took part in day two of Mobile's high school football media days.
Traditional power house Vigor High is looking to make it back into the state playoffs.
Head Coach Ashley Johnson says the fans will be treated to some very exciting football.

“Oour kids are really excited about what we're doing on offense now. We're really spreading the ball around and using our speed that we have. We're able to attack all edges of the field,” said Johnson.

Coach Johnson says his main focus this summer was team building with the players.
Mary G. Montgomery coach Mike Dean knows the area and the teams. He was a former coach at Mcgill-Toolen.
He says while he's focused on this year, he's also looking to the future.

“The kids are hungry. We got a good group of seniors, there's 23. We got 31 juniors. I think there's 37 sophomores and I think there's about 50 freshman on the freshman team. We can be successful now. We're gonna have to be perfect to do it, but I would say that to any team," said Dean.
