USA Jags Eligible to Play in a Bowl Game

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) With a convincing 30-8 win over Louisiana-Lafayette, the South Alabama Jaguars are eligible to play in a bowl game this season.

In the final game of the season, which was played at Ladd Peebles Stadium, the Jags ended the Ragin' Cajuns eight game winning streak.

Senior quarterback Ross Metheny completed 13 of 23 passes for 171 yards in his final game as a Jaguar. He also ran for 46 yards.Running back Jay Jones finished the day with 105 yards on 19 carries.

The Jaguars defense was solid, shutting out ULL through three quarters.

The defense also caused 4 turnovers in the win.
