MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) - Somewhere in the many colorful cords and wires, the Golf Channel has the power to put every swing and putt on TV for the world to see.

This weekend, NBC's network was dedicated to the sport by bringing the show to Magnolia Grove in Mobile for Airbus' LPGA Golf Tournament.

"People are tuning in and learning about Mobile," said Mel Hundley, NBC's Golf Channel's Live Broadcasting Director,” we run little bumpers and snidbits of things going on across the area. It's a very nice, very nice city, and we're staying right downtown, and there are a lot of great restaurants and a lot of fun stuff to do." Mel Hundley said.

The Golf Channel set up live trucks and substations along the fairways airing live coverage of the tournament worldwide.

Every time a golfer tees up on the course, a new viewer is tuning into the Golf Channel and getting a glimpse of the Port City firsthand.
