Bayside Academy shot 5-under 571 as a team to win the Class 3A boys state golf championship at Prattville’s RTJ Capitol Hill Tuesday. Runner-up was Trinity at 598, 27 strokes behind the Admirals.

The Class 3A competition was last to finish but posted some of the best scores with five golfers completing the 36-hole tournament under par.  Bayside’s William Buhl shot a 67 Monday and followed with a 73 Tuesday to finish at 4-under 140 to earn medalist honors.  Teammate Jacob Dyas was right behind with 72-70—142, tying Straughn’s Brooks Raben who also shot 72-70—142.

Eli Marty of Good Hope and Bayside’s Bryce Roush also finished under par at 143.  Marty shot the low round of 67 Tuesday.Bayside Academy Finishes 5-Under to Win State Championship
