(MOBILE, Ala.) July 1 - Some of our kids are enjoying their summer vacations by hitting the beach, or just hanging out around the house.   But others are volunteering their time to help others.

Volunteer Mobile is matching kids with older mentors as a part of President Obama's summer of service initiative. At one local YMCA, kids are learning to type. One volunteer we spoke with says he learned to type early in life and he's happy to pass that on.

The program started last week and ends September 11th.
