(MOBILE, Ala.) -- Some people know just how to make an entrance. The police escort for 2 charter buses at UMS-Wright Prep School was a fitting way to travel when the passengers are coming home with a crown.

On the buses: Wright's varsity football team who earlier Thursday earned the title of 4A State Champions. The title and trophy were thanks in part to championship game MVP running back Troy Dixon.

"It feels great you know, never really felt like this before in my life, it's unreal, I feel like I'm dreaming right now," he said after returning home from Auburn where the game against Oneonta was played.

For the seniors on the Bulldog squad, it's no longer a dream. This victory is real and will last a lifetime. "When we were freshman, we always looked up to everybody and expected somebody else to make the plays for us as we got older and older every year, it got into our hands," Dixon's brother wide receiver T.J. Dixon said.

Each step of the way, players relied on the man next to them, more than like a teammate. Beyond the Dixon brothers' relationship, this championship team is united like a family.

"Mid-season, we kind of got tired of each other, but we all came together at the end, it's just a great feeling, I love these guys."

"We're a family, we like to think of ourselves as a family, maybe not all connected by blood, but by heart."
