(PENSACOLA, Fla.) June 28 - The Escambia County Commission says if the Pensacola Ice Flyers can sell 1,250 season tickets before July 15 they can play in Ocotober, and it looks like the team is going to match that goal.
Tim Kerr, the owner of the Ice Flyers, says more than 800 season tickets have been sold as of June 28.
According to officials, if the team sells the remaining season tickets, they can begin play in the Southern Professional Hockey League in October 2009.
The Penscola Ice Flyers have already scheduled 56 games for their first season. Of those, 28 would be played at the Pensacola Civic Center as home games.
