GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Federal court records say a man plans to plead guilty in a Hurricane Katrina fraud case.
A change of plea hearing is scheduled for trial Feb. 4 for Anthony L. Bryan. He is charged with fraudulently obtaining more than $97,000 for a house he claimed was his primary residence when Katrina hit in 2005.
He had pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court in Gulfport on Oct. 25.
The Oct. 16 indictment says Bryan created a bill of sale to make it appear he owned and lived in the Bay St. Louis house.
Prosecutors allege that the house was not his primary residence.
