(PENSACOLA, Fla.) A local pastor, and administrator of S.L. Jones Christian Academy, is charged with abusing a student.
Escambia County, Florida Sheriffs Deputies arrested Pastor Willie Demps, 69, and charged him with three counts of child abuse. Deputies say a student told her grandparent that Demps paddled her for misconduct on two occasions.
Deputies say the girl also came home limping one afternoon and said Demps punched her in the thigh several times after a fight on the bus with another student.
Demps was given a $3,000 bond. The child's injuries were not life threatening.
