MOBILE, Ala (WPMI) One local Krewe was determined to have it's Mardi Gras festivities and Super Bowl, too.
On Sunday, the "Mystics of Time" held their annual float preview and Queen's Reception at their float barn.
A huge crowd showed up, but some did leave a little early to catch the Super Bowl kickoff. The theme for next Saturday night's parade is "Father time looks back in time".
Local 15 asked this year's MOT Queen, Nena Alexandra Coarsy, the meaning behind the theme.
"It's, I think, floats from the previous years, all of the previous years, they brought them back and redid them, and so they're looking a lot better, nicer and newer, but still previous things mot has done."
Queen Alex also tells us the MOT's famous fire breathing dragon, Vernadean, has undergone an extensive make-over this year.
