(MOBILE, Ala.) - Tuesday, the City of Mobile published the financial figures of how they plan to keep the city operating in 2013.
After months of wrangling, the city council managed to pass a budget last week. That plan includes a 1 percent tax increase that is slated to be enacted before the end of the year.
The mayor's office tells Local 15 this budget is balanced. Before the tax passed, the mayor's office said the city was facing a $29 million shortfall.
