GAUTIER, Miss. (AP) - The city of Gautier could limit the number of domesticated animals per residence at Tuesday's council meeting.
City Manager Samantha Abell tells The Sun Herald an ordinance on the agenda stems from complaints from residents.
If approved, Abell says the maximum number of domestic animals a resident could have would be four.
She says the ordinance does not include livestock and there are exceptions to the ordinance.
The penalty for violating this ordinance would be $100 a day per offense. The ordinance would go into effect 30 days from the date of approval.
