WASHINGTON, D.C. (WPMI) - After a 15-hour bus ride and spending hours waiting in line in the bitter cold, a group of Foley students said it was well worth it to see President Obama take the oath.

"It was exciting to see him in real life, not on t.v.," 5th-grader K.D. Heard told Local 15 by phone Monday.

14 honor roll students, ages 9 to 13, from the Snook Youth Club made the trip. Two of the students who made straight A's were selected for special spots in the crowd closer to the stage.

The students' chaperones said a number of the students dream of being President themselves one day, and seeing President Obama on stage was an inspiration.

"It shows them that the sky is the limit," chaperone Rhonda Frost said. "The sky is the limit."
