MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) A father and son were caught with hundreds of pounds of marijuana, the materials to grow marijuana, weapons and cash.
A deputy was serving an eviction notice at a home on Jeff Hamilton Road around 7 p.m. Monday. That deputy discovered the operation and called authorities.
Erving Edmond and his son Zachary Edmond admitted that they had been growing marijuana for about a year.
Investigators found two shotguns and a rifle, 460 marijuana plants, two and a half pounds of cultivated marijuana, $600 in cash and paraphernalia for the indoor grow at the home.
Deputies signed a warrant for trafficking marijuana on Erving Edmond, but he was allowed to remain free to assist his wife in moving.
