MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) We should learn Monday which airport control towers the Federal Aviation Administration plans to close, and if Mobile's Brookley will be among them.

The closings are necessary with the loss of about $600 million due to sequestration cuts at the FAA.

The agency released a list of nearly 200 towers facing potential closure last month, giving airport managers time to submit arguments for keeping them open. Mobile was on that list. Gulfport and Pensacola were not.

The affected towers will be at the airports with fewer than 150,000 flight operations or 10,000 commercial operations a year.
