MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Ember Langley was crowned 2013 Miss University of Mobile and will represent the university for the upcoming year.
Langley, a sophomore communication major from Fairhope, Ala., performed the song “Glitter and Be Gay” for her talent at the Miss UM Pageant held at the Saraland Performing Arts Center. Her platform was “Changing the World with our Fingertips.”
The Miss University of Mobile pageant is an official qualifier sponsored by Miss America, giving Langley the opportunity to participate in the Miss Alabama pageant in June.
“I am looking forward to everything that comes with the experience of being Miss University of Mobile. I am so excited and feel so privileged to represent UMobile in June at Miss Alabama,” said Langley.
“Making appearances will be fun because I will have the chance to meet new faces and make new friends,” continued Langley. “It will be awesome to talk to prospective students about the University of Mobile and talk about the Miss UM program.
