(BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala.) - The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office is looking for Derek Wood, brother of missing teen Brittney Wood, after he removed his GPS tracking device.
Wood was due to report to deputies in Bay Minette Friday morning, but failed to show. Deputies tracked his location to his home via his ankle monitor. There, deputies found Wood in a car with a female driver. When deputies attempted to stop the car the suspects took off, resulting in a short pursuit. After the suspects wrecked their car, Woods fled on foot. His ankle monitor was later found cut off in the weeds.
Derek Wood has been out on bond on 2nd degree sodomy charges. His bond was immediately revoked.
