Big Events Going on This Weekend in the Port City

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) There are several events going on this weekend in the Port City.

Dauphin Island's fourth annual Gumbo Cook-off kicks off Saturday at 11 a.m. More than 20 teams are competing for prizes and bragging rights. There will be live music and lots of food. There will also be a beach party and shrimp boil Sunday.

The Mobile Civic Center will be full of food Saturday. The Azalea Trail Foodie Fest begins at 8 a.m. Admission is free.

Crimson Tide lineman and Foley grad DJ Fluker will be at Bel Air Mall Saturday. He's scheduled to sign autographs and do a meet-and-greet with fans at Gulf Coast Cards, that's next to Books A Million. The event is from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday.
