MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Opening day for BayBears baseball is still a few weeks away, but a new addition to the Hank has already made its debut.

BayBears fans will soon see their faces on a new video board on the outfield wall during ballgames this year.

It's something the BayBears staff and Mobile City leaders have been working on for some time.

BayBears General Manager Heath Bennett says the new hardware will help enhance the fan experience through the 70 different promotional nights at BayBears games this season.

"I remember a lot of things from coming out to games. I don't necessarily remember who won the minor league games I went to. I remember chasing foul balls, I remember getting autographs and I remember seeing my face on the video board. Those are some of the memories and experiences that we're going to try to deliver to fans this year, and the video board really just gives us an exceptional tool to get that done,” says Bennett.

The video board will came to life Wednesday night when Southern Miss and Auburn took to the diamond.

Clement Townsend will have highlights from the game in sports.
