(MOBILE, Ala.) Negotiators for EADS and BAE are running out of time to make a merger happen.

The companies have until 11 am Wednesday to reach a deal before negotations end for a $45,000,000,000 merger that would create the world's largest aerospace company.

Several sources close to the negotiations say German chancellor Angela Merkel is opposed to it. The opposition is over whether the companies will become state enterprises or remain independent but partly owned by Britian, France and Germany.

EADS is the parent company of Airbus. Airbus has landed a big order for 15 planes. Turkish airlines will buy four planes in 2014, six in 2015 and five in 2016.

Airbus is scheduled to start construction of its Mobile plant this January, so we could see some of that business.
