(FAIRHOPE, Ala.) - LOCAL 15 News is learning more about a disgusting arrest in Fairhope over the weekend. Warning: some of the details of this story are graphic, and disturbing.
Police arrested 50-year-old Tina Windham at her home Thursday on Disorderly Conduct Charges. They say when she was secure in the back of the patrol car, she deficated and smeared it all over the inside of the car.
LOCAL 15 News later learned this whole incident may have started as a feud between neighbors.
Anita and Frank call Windham the "neighbor from hell." According to them, they've feuded with Windham for more than five years. The couple says it began when they helped their new neighbor with some home improvements and their tools came up missing.
Anita and Frank say they weren't surprised to hear the details surrounding her arrest.
"Judging on the past experiences with all the feces that she had thrown at us and distributed up and down the property line, uh, what can you do?" says Frank, Windham's neighbor.
The couple says each one of them has called police on the other dozens of times on numerous charges.
LOCAL 15 News attempted to get reaction from Windham, but no one was home at the time. She's out of jail on charges including disorderly conduct and assault on police officers.
Fairhope Police sent the patrol car to be sanitized.
