OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WPMI) A man wanted on drug charges in New York was arrested in Destin Wednesday, February 20.
The Okaloosa County Multi-Agency Drug Task Force searched Lawrence Posey's home and car, and found cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Posey is charged with the sale, manufacture, deliver and possession with intent to distribute marijuana (four counts) and cocaine (two counts).
Posey was previously convicted in New York on drug charges unrelated to his current charges. Authorities say he didn't show up for sentencing in N.Y. and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The state of New York has placed a hold on Posey and plans to extradite him.
