The UTV44 High School Game of the Week presented by Subway heads to Ladd Peebles Stadium for the 2nd Round of the AHSAA football playoffs between the McGill-Toolen Yellow Jackets vs. Murphy Panthers
This second round match up is a rematch from the regular season game in which the Panthers won 52-35.
McGill comes into this game after defeating Dothan 35-14 in the 1st round. McGill looks to avenge their only loss of the regular season. The Yellow Jackets lead by Jason Smith and Trey Roberts score an average of 33.7 points per game while the defense only gives up 18.2 points per game.
Murphy comes into this game after defeating Carver-Montgomery on the road 21-14. Murphy’s offense lead by quarterback K.J. May score an average of 31.4 points per game while the defense only gives up 18.5. This is Murphy’s 9th appearance in a second round playoff game.
