The UTV44 High School Game of the Week presented by Whataburger heads into post season play as the AHSAA football playoffs begin this week with the 1st round.
Fairhope is the #3 seed from 6A Region 2, and are coming off a 29-14 win over Andalusia to end the regular season. The Pirates are lead by QB/WR Nate Andrews. Their offense averages 33.2 points per game. The Pirates defense is allowing 21.7 points per game.
Davidson did not play the last week of the regular season, and ended their season in Week #9 with an overtime win against Alma Bryant. Quarterback Cam Jackson leads the Warriors offense and is scoring 28.2 points per game. The stingy defense has only given up 112 points this season and have two shut outs on their record.
Fairhope leads this series 18-6 over the Warriors including last year’s 45-24 win. Winner moves on to the 2nd round and will face the winner of the Stanhope Elmore vs. Carver-Montgomery.
Due to AHSAA regulations, this game will be a tape delayed broadcast. The game will air on UTV44 on Saturday November 10th at 7pm.
