Single Mom’s Killer Still on the Loose

(MOBILE, Ala.)   Nearly one week later and no arrests, friends and neighbors of a single mom shot dead in front of her two toddlers are sending a message to the killer.

“If you even have an ounce of remorse, an ounce of guilt or you’re sorry, we need answers,” friend Kim Hamilton said. “Her kids are going to need answers.”

23-year-old Cynthia McCoy was found shot dead on her bed in her Azalea Point Apartments on Monday, her two young children next to her.

“Her two children were left to crawl all over their mother’s dead body,” an emotional Hamilton said. “Nobody, nobody deserves that.”

Hamilton said the single mom was trying hard to get on the right track, studying to get a G.E.D. to provide a better life for her family.
