(PRICHARD, Ala.) - The Prichard fire and police chief contracts are on Thursday night's city council agenda.
Mayor Ron Davis says it's a mistake.
He says he asked his administrative assistant to put the contracts on the agenda the week after the upcoming mayoral runoff election, but she accidentally put the vote on this week's agenda.
"I'm going to ask them to table that so we can move on beyond that point and get it on at the appropriate time," said Prichard Mayor Ron Davis.
Davis says fire chief Mark Trenier has been working without a contract since March.
Police Chief Jimmy Gardner's contract is up the first of next month.
