GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A 61-year-old Ocean Springs man convicted of possessing thousands of images of child pornography will serve eight years and a month in federal prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release.
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/N8b45c ) Robert A. Ormsbee was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in Gulfport.
U.S. Attorney Gregory K. Davis says Ormsbee was also ordered to pay a $3,000 fine and $3,000 in restitution.
He is required to register as a sex offender, and has forfeited all computer equipment and other electronic devices.
Ormsbee pleaded guilty in May to possessing more than 3,127 images and 121 videos depicting child exploitation.
