MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Mobile Police need your help searching for a killer. Wednesday night, a man was found dead outside a Mobile hotel room.
Police haven't released the victim's name. They say the man's parents live out of town and they're still trying to contact them. Once next of kin is notified, police will release the name to the public.
We do know the victim was a 31-year-old man. Police say they were called to Baymont Inn and Suites on the I65 Service Road around 9:50 p.m. Investigators say the man was shot after he got into some kind of argument with more than one suspect.
The victim was shot in the abdomen and died on the scene. Detectives say this is Mobile's fourth murder of 2013.
"It's actually significantly down. We had nine homicides this time last year," said MPD spokesperson Ashley Rains.
Police are still interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence. They are working to get us a description of the suspects. As soon as we get that information, we will release it.
