(ORANGE BEACH, Ala.) - A Louisiana man fell to his death from a beach front hotel balcony Labor Day morning. It happened at the Orange Beach Hampton Inn & Suites.
Police couldn't find any witnesses even after spending all morning questioning the man's family members and beach visitors. The Baldwin County coroner says the victim is 50-year-old Cung Pham of Baton Rouge.
A hotel guest saw his body lying on the ground outside the Hampton Inn and Suites around 8:45 and called 9-1-1.
Police say he fell from his 8th floor balcony.
Robert Taylor and his family woke up to tragic news on their first full day of vacation.
"It puts a damper on things. It's on the back of your mind, but it causes you to keep your family closer because you never know what's going to happen," said Taylor.
It's still early in the investigation, but police don't suspect foul play.
They're still looking into the circumstances surrounding Pham's death.
