(MOBILE COUNTY, Ala.) - Mobile Police have arrested a man in connection with a gruesome homicide and missing persons investigation.

Police say 26-year-old Brandon Estle was arrested on the scene of a homicide investigation where a body was found in a toolbox at a home on Hi Field Road in Grand Bay.

Estle has been charged with murder.

Mobile Police began investigating after the victim, 25-year-old Justin Hasty, was reported missing by his family Monday.

Police responded to the victim's residence on Caroline Avenue and found evidence of a struggle, and began to search for Hasty.

Tuesday, at noon, Mobile Police received a call from the Mobile County Sheriff Office reporting they were investigating a homicide on Hi Fields Road.

Estle told reporters Tuesday night he was defending himself.

The Hasty family plans to give a statement Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Mobile Police Department Headquarters.

Homicide Detectives are still investigating. If you have any information about the incident, call the Mobile Police Department at (251) 208-7211.
