(MOBILE, Ala.) Family and friends are remembering a Mobile Police lieutenant.
Lt. Tommy Menton was found dead on Monday. Sources within the department tell us he took his own life. His funeral was held Friday afternoon.
Family, friends, and colleagues remember Menton as not only a good police officer, but good person as well.
"Remember him as his self," Friend Monroe Powell said. "As a good strong man, as a good strong leader. He was a well known man. He treated everybody equal we lost a good officer."
Tommy Menton was 52 years old.
