(MOBILE, Ala.) - A Mobile County man is standing trial, accused of sexually molesting and raping his own daughter when she was a little girl. That daughter testified against him on Monday.
But prosecutors claim 52-year-old Ricky Cleston Woods not only molested that daughter, but two others when they were children.
The testimony was uncomfortable to hear, but a jury listened as 18-year-old Tamra Woods told her side of the story, that her father molested her beginning in the first grade.
Tamra Woods said it ended when the was 13, after a trip to the gynecologist. But prosecutors call it rape and incest.
Ricky is the father to three daughters, each from a different wife.
According to court records, since 1983, Ricky has been charged with sodomy, sexual abuse, incest. He even served time for some of these crimes.
This week, Ricky is back in court to face charges from Tamra Woods.
"I've been waiting for this for two years," said Tamra. "And I can definitely handle it, I'm just ready for a verdict."
Tamra told the jury that when she was just 6-years-old, the touching started. Then, in painful detail, she spoke of other activity, intimate behavior that she said she felt compelled to follow.
Tamra said at age 11, her father forced her to have intercourse with him, something she said she knew was always to happen when he made a beckoning motion with his finger.
Ricky Woods' defense attorney has told the jury her testimony is not true, and is in retaliation for her father and mother forcing her to end a relationship with a man more than twice her age.
But in a private interview Monday afternoon, Tamra told Local 15 News her real motivation.
"I have a 6-month-old at home and several nieces and nephews, that I don't believe should have to go through what I'm going through," Tamra said.
Attorneys for Ricky Woods say they will comment on the case after the trial.
