(MOBILE, Ala.) A Mobile couple described their terrifying afternoon exclusively to LOCAL 15 News. Gilbert Petty and Lisa Culver say they were tied up and robbed in their Eastwyck Apartment Wednesday afternoon.

Petty says he was unloading a bike from his car when a nicely dressed man with a brief case approached him and said he was with a debt consolidation company. Petty says the man knew some of his personal information, and he invited him into the apartment. That's when Petty says things went south, and the man pulled a gun on him.

"He said he was going to kill me and my family," said Petty.

Minutes later Petty's wife, Lisa Culver, returned from Christmas shopping. Culver says the man pointed the gun at her, then tied her and her husband up with zip ties that he had in the brief case.

The couple says the man demanded $37,000 and said he'd be back in a week to collect the first installment of $10,000.

"It was crazy. I was scared. I've been scared ever since" said Culver.

The couple says they'll be staying with friends and family until an arrest is made.

The Mobile Police Department says it is looking for two suspects in the case.
