(DAPHNE, Ala.) October 26 - Daphne High School football coach Jacy Todd will make his first return to Jubilee Stadium Friday night since a car crash nearly took his life August 1st. A pep rally in his honor was organized by DHS students.

Coach Todd was released from inpatient and outpatient therapy programs over the weekend. The coach, his wife and family left Atlanta earlier this week to make it to the ballgame at Trojan Field Friday night. Coach Todd said he was very excited to see everyone and be back to their normal lives even it was for a couple of hours.

The Todds will return to Atlanta on Sunday to continue rehabilitation. Todd recovered for 27 days at USA Medical Center in Mobile and then was treated for nearly 59 days at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta.

Proceeds from fundraisers at Daphne home games have gone to help the Todds with expenses. Local Zaxby's restaurants have been and are continuing to conduct fund raisers for the family throughout their Baldwin County locations. The restaurant's Baldwin County locations will be donating a portion of its sales to the Todd family.
