(MOBILE, Ala.) - Three suspects charged in the shooting death of a South Alabama student appeared in court for a bond hearing Monday morning, and new information was revealed into what may have led to the crime.

Twenty-six-year-old Christopher Case, 19-year-old Tevin Wells and 21-year-old Quentin Godfrey were arrested over the weekend and charged with murder.

Authorities say the men kicked in Andrew Saxon's door on January 12, and stole several guitars and game consoles. Investigators say the men were actually looking for drugs and money.

They say Case had previously purchased drugs from Saxon.

Saxon was found in his neighbor's front yard. He had been shot in the chest.

Wells and Case received $100,000 bond. Godfrey is being held without bond.
