The UTV44 High School Game of the Week presented by Whataburger features the Battle of Old Shell Road between the UMS-Wright Bulldogs and the St. Paul’s Saints.
Coach Terry Curtis and his Bulldogs head into this game ranked #3 in the state and have already secured the 4A Region 1 Championship. Quarterback Gunner Roach and running back Torry Dixon leads an offense that is averaging 39.7 points per game. Defensive back Sam Pettway will help lead the defense which has only given up 186 total points this season.
St. Paul’s all-time leading rusher, Jordan Huff, leads this offense that has scored an average of 32.3 points per game. The Saints stingy defense lead by Tre Williams is only giving up 11.8 points per game.
St. Paul’s won this game last year 36-6 at UMS, the Bulldogs look to go on the road and avenge last year’s loss. It’s the end of the regular season, and who will earn bragging rights for Old Shell Road?
