The UTV44 High School Game of the Week presented by Whataburger heads to the eastern shore for a 6A Region 2 match-up between the Foley Lions and the Fairhope Pirates.
Both teams are coming off Week #6 region wins; Foley traveled to Baldwin Count and came out with a 30-7 win, while the Pirates had to travel to Robertsdale to get the37-23 win.
Foley is lead by senior quarterback Maison Taylor. Their offense is averaging 31 points per game which is ranked 19th among 6A schools. The defense will have a tough task this week going up against the Pirate offense; the Lions are giving up 20.3 points per game.
The 10th ranked Pirates are lead by quarterback Gabe Phillips. The Pirates offense is scoring an average of 32.2 points a game which is ranked 17th among 6A schools. J.P. Sherling will lead the Pirates defense against Foley; they are giving up an average of 20 points per game.
The Lions are looking to redeem themselves this year against Fairhope after the Pirates won 45-34.
Kickoff is Friday at 7pm and replay on Saturday at 7pm only on UTV44.
