The UTV44 High School Game of the Week presented by Subway heads back to E.E. Delaney on the campus of St. Paul’s this week for the Vigor Wolves (4-1)(2-0) vs. St. Paul Saints (4-1)(3-0)
Vigor takes their stingy defense lead by Darius Philon, and Jamichael Winston against St. Paul’s high powered offense lead by running back Jordan Huff. Vigor is coming off a win over Murphy in which the defense gave up 21 points, the most they have given up all season. St. Paul’s is coming off a touch road loss to Fairhope in which they also gave up a season high 49 points on defense.
St. Paul’s won last year’s contest 25-20 and eventually won the 5A Region 1 Championship, and have 3-2 series record over Vigor. Both teams are a top the region, but after this week only one will be left undefeated in region play.
