Davidson Warriors (0-0) vs. Vigor Wolves (0-0)
The UTV44 High School Game of the Week presented by Whataburger begins the 2012 season off by heading to Prichard Stadium for the Week #1 match up between the Davidson Warriors and Vigor Wolves
This is the third straight regular season meeting between the two teams. Vigor leads the overall series 17-12, but Davidson has won the last two. Davidson blocked a field goal as time expired last year to win 14-13.
Davidson is looking to rebound after ending last year with a 7-4 record which included a first round loss in the playoffs. Returning quarterback Cam Jackson ten other returning starters have high expectations for this season.
Vigor is coming off a season that included a run at the state title. Last year’s defense only allowed an average of 7.8 points per game, which helped the Wolves make it to the Super 6 where they lost to 5A state champs Hartselle 13-3.
Kickoff is Friday at 7pm and replay on Saturday at 7pm only on UTV44.
