WEATHER SUMMARY

Gorgeous weather can be expected today with bright skies.  Daytime highs will be below seasonal readings with highs struggling to reach the upper 50s.  Clouds thicken as we head towards sundown with mostly cloudy skies overnight, lows fall into the 40s.

Thursday morning we wake up to more clouds with a few pop-up showers not out of the question during the day with more widespread coverage Thursday night into Friday.  The Storm Prediction Center already has the western zones in our viewing area (our Mississippi counties) in the risk zone for severe weather.  Right now it's a slight risk with the primary threats being damaging winds, small hail, and we never rule out an isolated tornado.  In fact, as we wrap up the workweek, expect a complete wash out with an 80% chance of storms.  Afternoon readings on Thursday and Friday will average around 70.

We keep about a 50/50 shot of storms in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday, with the wet weather finally winding down by Monday.
