A warm southerly wind is blowing into our area ahead of a cold front that's approaching the region. The front won't arrive until Tuesday afternoon; so, expect unseasonably warm weather and a chance for showers ahead of it. Highs will reach the low-mid 70s across the Gulf Coast with isolated showers possible from midday until the front crosses by early evening. Severe weather is not likely with this event. It will be very windy though with winds up to 25mph at times...and gusting higher.
In the wake of the front, plan on a chilly start to your Wednesday with morning lows in the 30s. The afternoon stays on the cooler side with highs in the 50s. Then, another warm up will take place for the end of the week as an upper ridge sits over our area for several days. This will help spike temps into the 70s.
