Forecast for the weekend looks good. A cold front will sag into the area Saturday morning, bringing a few more clouds, but sunshine should be plentiful by afternoon. Both Saturday and Sunday will see highs around 70, with Sunday being a bit warmer. Overnight temperatures will fall to around 50.
Next week, warmer weather builds in through at least Tuesday. Highs will be well into the 70s by then, with a mix of sun and clouds. Fog may become an issue again during the overnight hours. The next best chance for rain will arrive Wednesday. We will be watching for the threat of strong to severe thunderstorms by then, along with locally heavy rainfall. It is still a bit early for specifics, but definitely something we are keeping an eye on. It turns cooler behind the front by the end of the week.
